The health sector is undergoing a rapid transformation.

As demand continues to grow amidst ongoing funding and workforce issues, the sector is shifting towards more efficient, technology-enabled and integrated models of care.

Deep experience

Advances in digital health, data analytics and AI are creating opportunities for more integrated services and better outcomes, amidst a complex regulatory landscape

We understand the commercial, regulatory and reputational risks faced by organisations operating in the health sector, and are passionate about the work we do to support clients in this space.

Sector knowledge

Sector knowledge is what gives us the edge – providing advice that’s not only technically correct but provides practical, workable solutions to navigate the complex regulatory environment.

Ella Cannon is the partner who leads this work for the CIE Legal health team. She is a recognised leader and expert in the health space, and regularly presents on health sector regulation, patient-centred privacy design, health records management, and regulatory reforms preparedness.

Ella is on the boards of Murray PHN, the federally-funded primary health network across North East Victoria, as well as the GV Health Foundation – a philanthropic foundation that exists to support health care in the Goulburn Valley region and a major regional public hospital.

Focused advice

We work with a broad range of health sector providers and organisations, such as health software suppliers, hospitals and allied health providers, telehealth and virtual care platforms, medical device suppliers, research organisations and more.
