Ashleigh Trotter

Ashleigh uses her qualifications in Psychology and Behavioural studies in her practice as a commercial lawyer. Calm and approachable, she takes a relationship-focused approach, building rapport quickly to get the best out of people. Working with her CIE Legal colleagues, Ashleigh advises across the commercial team on contracts, advertising reviews, marketing campaigns, as well as privacy and consumer law compliance.

Ashleigh is very involved in the automotive space and has advised automotive companies on the implementation of an agency sales model, including assisting with the licence applications to sell motor vehicles directly to customers in Australia. She has completed multiple secondments, including a one-year full-time secondment to Honda and other placements in household name food and beverage brands. This experience means she knows how to work closely with business stakeholders and balance legal strategy with commerciality.
