CIE Legal promotes six in 2023

CIE Legal started the new financial year by making its biggest promotion round yet, elevating six lawyers. Annaleise Vulin and Ashleigh Trotter have been promoted to Associate, Ines Balint, Hannah Pike and Andy Hur have been promoted to Senior Associate while Kaye Ho has been promoted to Partner.

Kaye Ho’s experience advising retailers, particularly in the cosmetics industry, has further bolstered CIE Legal’s focus on the consumer products sector. With extensive experience with large international cosmetics brands, retailers and automotive companies, she is well-deserved in becoming the firm’s youngest appointed partner to date.

Having worked with SMEs as well as large international businesses across a range of industries, Hannah Pike’s diverse experience makes her an invaluable asset to the firm. With a keen interest in consumer products, she is at home advising on a range of marketing, privacy and ACL commercial and compliance issues.

As a dual-qualified lawyer in New Zealand and Australia, Andy Hur advises on a range of corporate and commercial matters. Andy continues to excel, work closely with clients and demonstrate his versatile skills within the automotive, technology, FMCG and other consumer products sectors.

Prior to qualifying as a lawyer and focusing on employment law, Ines Balint spent nine years as an HR Business Partner in Australia and the UK. Her experiences have given her a practical perspective and approach to her work which is appreciated by clients and colleagues alike propelling her to her second promotion within 3 years.

With experience acting as an outsourced in-house counsel and as a litigation assistant at a global law firm, Annaleise Vulin is well-versed in balancing commercial expectations with legal outcomes. She commenced her role at CIE Legal in 2020 and regularly advises on a range of commercial and consumer law matters.

Ashleigh Trotter’s experience within the automotive sector as both in-house counsel and advisor has further enhanced CIE Legal’s consumer products expertise. Having assisted with large company acquisitions and with advertising and marketing reviews for consumer law compliance, her areas of expertise support clients’ needs.

Commenting on the promotions, CIE Legal’s Managing Partner Peter George shared, “This is CIE Legal’s largest ever promotions round, and reflects the way our firm has grown and developed over the last year – a relationship driven firm advising some of Australia’s largest consumer brands. We’re delighted that all of these lawyers have chosen to progress their career with CIE Legal and are particularly pleased to welcome Kaye Ho to the partnership.”
